Steel, Wood
Vitra Eames segmented table dining was designed by Charles & Ray Eames in 1964. it's avaiable in three different sizes and two shapes, and a mix various woods and steel. The Eames Segmented Table Dining is characterised by an interplay of dimensions, materials and colours, transforming the legendary classic into a comfortable, elegant dining table. With a round or boat-shaped table top in a choice of sizes, it allows spontaneous and informal seating arrangements in diverse dining settings.
The design story of the Eames Tables harks back to the 1940s, when Charles and Ray Eames developed the first versions of what later became the table base. These early designs, which already reflect the designer couple’s characteristic method of thinking in systems, were suited for a variety of chairs and tables. The bases used today for the Eames Tables were created in the 1960s in conjunction with the development of the Soft Pad Chairs.
