Poltronova Stellina Rug

Poltronova Stellina Rug designed by Centro Studi Poltronova pays homage to the iconic Joe armchair designed by De Pas, D'Urbino, and Lomazzi. The symbol of the star, often used in team sports to denote victories in specific competitions, has always been a distinctive feature of the Joe armchair. Initially branded onto the leather in the original version and later embroidered in special editions using denim and faux fur, it now serves as the generative element for the rugs dedicated to this iconic chair. Stella and Stellina, available in gray and navy blue color variations, are a tribute to the historic uniform of the New York Yankees. Just as the star was born as a symbol for the Joe armchair, the armchair itself is a homage to a legend of American popular culture, the iconic player of the New York team, Joe DiMaggio. The Poltronova Stellina Rug, like other designs from Poltronova, has been created in collaboration with the Centro Studi Poltronova per il Design and cc-tapis. This collaboration has resulted in a rug that captures the spirit of the Joe armchair and its connection to both sports and American popular culture.
