Poltronova Passiflora table lamp, designed by Superstudio, was born from a cardboard prototype painted for the exhibition “Superarchitecture” (December 1966), manifesto of Radical Design. The cardboard has been replaced from a transparent material to light, transforming Passiflora in a luminous column trunk: one column whose deformed shape oscillates between the natural and the artificial, in a game of allusions and ambiguities, corresponding to the mission statement of Superstudio philosophy.
Passiflora is now not jus a lamp but also an iconic piece of design.
