Louis Poulsen PH Septima is a lamp designed by Poul Henningsen. Presented for the first time in 1928, it has always been highly appreciated by the public. The PH Septima is based on the three-shade system of the PH series, but the glass crown has four additional shades among the main ones. The glass shades alternate transparent and frosted fields to ensure the most uniform light diffusion possible. In the 1940s, unfortunately, the much appreciated PH Septima went out of production like many other lamps because of the scarcity of raw materials. In 2020, Louis Poulsen re-proposes the sophisticated seven-shades glass crown inspired by PH Septima 5 with optimized suspension and enhanced glass for better endurance and stability.
