Vitra La Chaise is the chaise longue that Charles & Ray Eames designed in 1948 inspired by the sculpture "Floating Figure" by Gaston Lachaise, on the occasion of a competition held by the Museum of Modern Art in New York. This sculptural piece of furniture visually compelling and extraordinary elegance allows different seating positions, also elongated. The lounge has always been considered an icon of organic design. He has a body of polyurethane lacquer white. The base is in chromed tubular steel, while the cross base is solid oak with natural protective enamel.
