Cassina Cab 410 PRO Stool

Cassina Pro Cab 410 stool, designed by Mario Bellini, is a remarkable piece of furniture. It is the world's first freestanding saddle leather stool, drawing inspiration from the relationship between the skeleton and the skin. The upholstery of the stool is composed of 22 parts made from saddle leather. These parts undergo a meticulous shaving process to thin them before being stitched together.

Once the cut parts are joined, the upholstery is hand-molded to fit the steel skeleton of the stool. It is then closed with zippers, much like a custom-tailored garment.
