Cassina Luisa, chair with armrests. With a sleek minimalist design, Luisa is the result of a journey of exploration that occupied Franco Albini for 15 years as he focused on developing an archetype in which the core elements of the structure respond to various possible uses in the home. After various improvements, this iconic solid wood chair was launched in 1955 in the final version with which the maestro was awarded the prestigious ADI [Italy’s Association for Industrial Design] Compasso D’Oro.
