The Cassina Beugel chair, designed by Gerrit Rietveld in 1927, is a chair with metal frame and seat in painted wood.
Beugel is the emblem of Gerrit Rietveld's attitude, experimentation and separation of elements.
The two metal frames are placed at the sides and support the varnished wooden seat. This is a limited edition version, currently available in 3 variations, pearl white, blue and senape, 200 for each colour for a total of 600 pieces.
This version has been customized by Dutch artist Joost Swarte with a monogram that pays tribute to the Cartesian knot on which Rietveld based his research to develop the joint of his iconic Red and Blue chair.
The classic version is available in five colours, natural, amaranth, mud, petroleum and black.
