Poltronova Mies Armchair

Poltronova Mies armchair, designed by Arzhizoom Assocati, was born in 1969 from the idea of ​​using a strip of para or rubber, resistant and elastic materials, as a seat. The structure, a triangle in chromed metal, highlights the purity of the shape. The headrest cushion and the illuminated footrest are in pony skin. The name highlights the analogy of its structure with the projects of Mies van der Rohe and pays homage to the great master who died in the same year. In its rigorous geometry, the Mies armchair summarizes the philosophy of Archizoom Associati, leading members of the Italian Radical Movement, born around the second half of the 1960s.
