Molteni Phoenix Outdoor Sofa

Molteni Phoenix outdoor sofa, designed by Vincent Van Duysen, features a frame made of painted bronze aluminum that wraps around the profiles of the furniture like a ribbon, gracefully rounding at the corners. This continuous flow of the frame forms the support for the seating, armrests, and supporting feet, creating a dynamic appearance. The sofa is available in two versions, both with two cushions, in widths of 150 and 180cm.
The lightweight aluminum, as compared to iron, allows for easy movement of the generously-sized furniture. This feature is particularly valuable for outdoor furniture, as it allows for convenient rearrangement and reconfiguration of elements.
The frame, painted in a bronze finish, is further highlighted by the handwoven polypropylene cord upholstery, available in anthracite, olive green, and desert yellow colors. The dense interweaving of the cord is done entirely by hand, and the pattern draws inspiration from the Mediterranean tradition of baskets and wickerwork, adding warmth to the minimalist structure of the sofa.
