Tom Dixon Pylon Chair is made by a unique hand-welded steel rod. The lattice work of 3mm diameter steel rod is triangulated for maximum strength, an exercise in pure unadorned structure. Pylon is a collection composed of a chair, table and coffee table.
Pylon Chair was originally created to design the world’s lightest metal chair, Pylon was made in a small series in Dixon’s metal workshop in the early 90’s.
The Pylon chair is very light but strong, a celebration of the triangle's simple symmetrical shape. Only available in white at the moment.
