Porro Maggio Drawer

Narrow and elongated, Maggio is a LIMITED EDITION chest of drawers designed by Alessandro Mendini for Porro, crowned with a mirror with a diamond-shaped section, 2 pull-out trays and 6 large drawers. It is created with an inlaid design on the front, achieved by combining 3 different types of wood – elm, oak and acacia – according to abstract geometric compositions that meld the points of the triangle with the oblique lines of the trapezoid in unexpected directions. With a maple interior, pliable brass and copper elements and the unexpected three-dimensionality in its profile, Maggio belongs to a small limited edition (99 pieces) series of exquisite and collectible furniture, between art and design.
