Poltrona Frau Water Illusion Vase

Poltrona Frau Water Illusion, designed by Assia Karaguiozova, is a collection of vases and bowls depicts the close interaction between water and the shoreline, between the waves and the sky, crystallising the sinuous, unique, and unrepeatable expressions of the elements in glass vessels inspired by the powerful rhythm of Zorba's Sirtaki.

The Water Illusion collection is totally handcrafted in Italy, utilizing 100 percent recycled glass and the intricate Cast Glass technique, which involves melting crystal and "cotisso," a recycled glass, in crucibles at temperatures as high as 1500 degrees Celsius. The glass is thick and translucent, with a smooth surface and internal ripples that give it a "wavy" texture similar to that of water.
