Flexform First Steps Chair

Flexform First Steps chair was designed by C.Pillet in 2020. The sinuous structure that rises to form the back is in painted metal, while the dense interweaving of the seat and back is proposed in the variants with a paper or river straw cord and is entirely handmade. Same design and materials for the stool, whose gentle presence gives it considerable versatility, allowing it to fit gracefully and discreetly into any context.

Christophe Pillet's design philosophy can be summed up in a few but eloquent words: "I'm not looking for the extraordinary, but for what is beautiful and capable of arousing emotion within the ordinary". This passionate search for the essence of things is also fully manifested in the design of the First Steps chair, which in its poetic simplicity seems to lead back to the archetype of the object-chair.
