The Cassina Galaxy suspension lamp, designed by Charles and Ray Eames in the late 1940s, is a striking blend of mid-century innovation and modern functionality. Originally crafted from brass tubing and automotive components centered within a wooden sphere, this iconic pendant lamp remained a conceptual masterpiece until Cassina brought it into production for the first time. In collaboration with the Eames Office, the lamp's design features a central sphere that supports 36 rods of varying lengths, each equipped with its own LED light source, resembling a constellation of stars.
