Artek Armchair 41 Paimio armchair, designed by Alvar Aalto, possesses a timeless sculptural elegance, that from 1933, year of its design, is still intact and perceivable.
Considered one of Aalto's masterpiece. Armchir 41 is a suspended seat that seems to float, since it's fixed to the frame at only four points.
The armrests are formed from a single piece that is then split in half, ensuring that as “Paimio” ages, it remains perfectly balanced.
Armchair 41 Paimio is available with black or white seat made of Form-pressed birch plywood, while the armrests are made of form-bent solid birch lamella.
