Cassina Infinito is a bookcase designed by Franco Albini in 1956/57 and produced by Cassina from 2008. Infinito is a modular bookcase made up of uprights, hinged doors, flap doors and shelves, proposed in the finishes natural ash, black stained ash or black walnut. Industrial seriality for each component of the product, which allows infinite and different compositional solutions, from the supporting structures to the components. The structure, not requiring wall anchors, can offer surfaces with two opposite sides containing the shelves for books and other containment solutions.
The uprights, fixed by pressure between the floor and the ceiling, are adjustable in height from 268 to 290 cm, while a series of holes leaves the possibility of placing containers and shelves at various heights. The shelves are available in two depths, 25 and 35 cm.
Albini enters by right as the first Italian architect in the Cassina company's I Maestri collection and his Infinito bookcase is present in the permanent collection of the Design Museum at the Milan Triennale.
