Acerbis Creso table. With its singular shape with a monolithic silhouette, Creso uses the support of a single pedestal to transform a table into the type of vigorous geometry that was the basis of the vision of Lella and Massimo Vignelli. Enhanced by a more faithful interpretation of Vignelli's ideas, the new Creso experiments with a use of materials capable of highlighting the power of its design, thanks to a round top and a column base, made of travertine, or a crystal or glass surface. marble, supported by a base in various metallic finishes. The genesis of Creso is linked to the recovery of the artisan technique of encaustic, or "Venetian stucco", which involves the application of a very fine sand plaster with a spatula and the subsequent hot pressing of the colors inspired by the nuances of the ' 700 by the Venetian landscape painter Francesco Guardi. Travertine is a limestone sedimentary rock that stands out mainly for its unmistakable compactness. In classic form it is a material with a fairly uniform light beige color, to obviate its porosity the surface is grouted and smoothed. First choice marble slabs selected and matched from the same block, also juxtaposed without continuity of vein. Any differences in stain, grain, color, or the presence of natural resin tears are natural attributes.
The tops are available in the following finishes:
- Transparent crystal, 15 mm thick;
- White Arabescato marble, black Marquinia, red Levanto, green Alpi, 20 mm thick.
- Matt travertine 20 mm thick (max Ø160cm), stone in natural polished finish. The Travertine top is matched only to the base with the same finish.
The cylindrical base is made with a steel tube, painted in gunmetal, orbital bronze finishes or covered with a brass-plated steel sheet. Another variant is the single-material version in opaque travertine machined from solid, an internal iron column supports the weight of the entire structure without weighing on the marble cladding.
