Poltrona Frau Archibald Stool design by Jean-Marie Massaud 2021. The Archibald family of Poltrona Frau continues to grow with the Archibald Stool. The designer Jean-Marie Massaud takes up the design formulas dear to him: clear and slender signs for the wooden or metal bases, softened by the curved and welcoming shapes of the seat upholstered in Pelle Frau® or fabric. The result is a series of stools with an impeccable style but with a more casual allure that makes them particularly eclectic, at ease in contemporary residential spaces as in hôtellerie / hospitality contexts.

Archibald Stool stools can have a four-legged wooden base, available in two heights, or the classic metal stem. In the first case, the feet are in solid ash wood in the Moka or Wengé stained finishes, with a rectangular section stainless steel footrest with one-way brushed upper side and mirror polished on the other three sides. In the version with metal base, the steel stem is swivel and height adjustable by means of a cushioned gas spring, controlled by a stainless steel lever placed on the right under the seat. The rectangular section stainless steel footrest tapers from the inside out. The ground support plate is always made of steel. All visible steel surfaces are mirror polished, except the upper part of the footrest which is unidirectional brushed.
