Ash Painted, Marble, Walnut Canaletto

Bolero, Poltrona Frau is a table designed by Roberto Lazzeroni. Essential and important design for living contexts. Bolero is not just a table, Bolero is the refined materials and the harmony that unites them, leaving unchanged the characteristics that make them unique. The structure in solid ashwood is emphasized by grain which intersect each other in the repetition of the segments. Almost to float above the base plan, which is ash or marble. The overall effect is elegant thin air.

Roberto Lazzeroni has designed the “Bolero” table. Wenge-stained ash, Canaletto walnut, Calacatta Oro marble, brilliant and semi-brilliant. A minimalist and sleek addition to the living room available in many size and geometric shapez. The frame supporting the table is in wengé-stained solid ash or in solid Canaletto walnut with a triangular section profile. The table top surface is in rotary-cut wengé-stained ash veneer or Canaletto walnut veneer, with a characteristic cross-grain inlay and a wengé-stained solid ash or Canaletto walnut trim around the edge. The 220x110 cm and 250x100 cm tables and the 150 cm diameter round version are also available with the top in Calacatta gold marble, with bevelled edge and semi-polished or polished polyester finish. With the semi-polished finish, the surface of the marble top is treated with a protective water-repellent solution that gives it a more natural look. In the version with polished finish, meanwhile, a transparent polyester paint is applied that makes the surface of the top more resistant, preventing it from absorbing liquids. In the marble versions, the legs of the table are in ash in a wengé stain or Canaletto walnut.

The 180 cm diameter round version is also available complete with a Lazy Susan turntable, resting on rather than fixed to the table top, comprising two round flat trays with different diameters. The upper one has a diameter of 115cm and is in multiply birch edged with wengé-stained solid ash or solid Canaletto walnut in the same way as the table top, offset with veneer underneath. The smaller, lower tray is in MDF finished with black scratch-proof paint and fitted with protective felt pads. An aluminium turntable mechanism using steel ball bearings is housed between the two trays.

The surface, attached to the supports using a spacer, almost appears to float in space. Its faintly trapezelike shape accentuates the visual perception of a thickness reduced to the minimum. The original tapered triangular section gives the supports greater dynamism. In this painstaking economy of elements, the inlay work on the Wengé-stained ash veneered surface is particularly notable. Macro wooden tesserae combine to create a pattern of horizontal and vertical grains that is different
each time. The surface is produced from wood fibre which is trimmed, around the edge, in solid ash wood. Legs in Wengé-stained solid ash wood. Mounting plates and spacers in black lacquered steel. The “Bolero” table is a perfect match for the “Montera” chair.

The frame supporting the table is in wengé-stained solid ash (32) or in solid Canaletto walnut (29) with a triangular section profile. The mounting plates and spacers are in black lacquered steel. Plastic protective caps. The table top surface is in rotary-cut wengé-stained ash veneer or Canaletto walnut veneer, with a characteristic cross-grain inlay and a wengé-stained solid ash or Canaletto walnut trim around the edge. The table top core is in MDF board and underneath it is offset in veneer.
The 220x110 cm and 250x100 cm tables and the 150 cm diameter round version are also available with the top in Calacatta gold marble, with bevelled edge and semipolished or polished polyester finish. With the semi-polished finish, the surface of the marble top is treated with a protective water-repellent solution that gives it a more natural look. In the version with polished finish, meanwhile, a transparent polyester paint is applied that makes the surface of the top more resistant, preventing it from absorbing liquids. The under-top support is in multiply birch finished with matt black textured scratch-proof paint. In the marble versions, the legs of the table are in ash in a wengé stain (32) or Canaletto walnut (29). The 180 cm diameter round version is also available complete with a Lazy Susan turntable, resting on rather than fixed to the table top, comprising two round flat trays with different diameters. The upper one has a diameter of 115cm and is in multiply birch edged with wengé-stained solid ash (32) or solid Canaletto walnut (29) in the same way as the table top, offset with veneer underneath. The smaller, lower tray is in MDF finished with black scratch-proof paint and fitted with protective felt pads. An aluminium turntable mechanism using steel ball bearings is housed between the two trays.
